Jerry Elliott joined Mead Johnson as a
sales representative in 1963. He earned a
promotion to headquarters and worked
for 10 years in the marketing department.
Jerry directed Mead Johnson’s Professional
Services department from 1981 to 1989 and
1992 until his sudden and untimely death
on June 2, 1994. Jerry had a tremendous
impact in every area in which he worked.
He was an avid supporter of perinatal research and the careers
of young neonatologists. The Southeastern Association of
Neonatologists has honored Jerry Elliott by creating a memorial
lectureship in 1997, which is delivered at each annual meeting.
